About this role
Data Center Network Architect Melbourne, VIC, Australia Melbourne, VIC, Australia What success looks like in this role: Design, implement, and manage data center network infrastructure. Provide expert-level support for network operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation. Configure and manage technologies including EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, and OSPF. Work with Cisco Nexus platforms, including DCNM and Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of network systems. Lead network design reviews and provide strategic recommendations. Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for network environments. Provides comprehensive and technically sound advice and support for critical network elements Assesses compatibility of applications, products, and services to ensure an integrated architecture across inter-dependent technologies. Applies professional judgment, creativity, and knowledge of enterprise priorities to anticipate obstacles, forecast business needs and develop solutions before problems occur / needs arise. Researches and applies emerging technologies and practices to enhance network / platform / application development company-wide. Drives cross-functional efforts to improve efficiency, while addressing emerging business objectives and challenges. You will be successful in this role if you have: Strong experience in data center networking environments. In-depth knowledge of: Cisco DCNM / Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) EVPN-VXLN architectures, Routing protocols: BGP and OSPF Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues. Experience in network design, implementation, and optimisation.
