Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-05-06

No warranty

FewerJobs is a curated index of publicly-posted jobs and verified employer benefit policies. We do our best to keep the data fresh and accurate, but: jobs may close, benefits may change, employers may update their policies. Always verify on the employer's own site before applying decisions.

Apply links

Apply links go to the employer's own application system. We do not handle your application, do not see your resume, and have no relationship with the employer. We're a discovery layer.

Removal requests

We process removal requests in three categories with different processes:

DMCA copyright notices (mandatory under § 512)

Email [email protected] with: the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing URL on fewerjobs.com, your contact information, a good-faith statement of unauthorized use, a verification-of-accuracy statement under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic signature. Processed within 48 hours. Our designated DMCA agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Listing accuracy / data error

Email [email protected] with the job ID and what's wrong (e.g., wrong parental-leave weeks, broken apply URL, salary mismatch). We correct quickly. We don't remove the listing on request — we fix it.

Source-level or employer removal

Reviewed case-by-case. We aggregate publicly-posted listings under the legal basis established by Meta v. Bright Data and X Corp v. Bright Data (N.D. Cal. 2024) — logged-off scraping of public data does not breach platform Terms because we never agreed to them, and copyright law preempts state-law contract claims premised on copying public content. A bare request without a stated legal claim is not, on its own, sufficient grounds to remove. If you raise a credible legal claim, send it to [email protected] and we'll review in good faith and respond within 5 business days.

How we operate

We retrieve publicly-posted job listings via public APIs and rendered career-site pages. We never authenticate, never bypass technical access controls, and respect each source's robots.txt. Job descriptions are excerpted (~30 words), not fully republished; full text lives at the source URL via outlink. We do not use employer logos without license. Per-source kill switch in our crawler config for credible escalated claims.

Trademarks

Employer names are used for identification only and remain trademarks of their respective owners. We do not use logos without license.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA. EU/UK/EEA visitors are currently geofenced; an EU-specific analysis will be published before EU launch.
