About FewerJobs
FewerJobs is a curated remote-job board for working parents, parents-to-be, and anyone who cares about whether the company they apply to actually pays for parental leave.
Direct Answers
What is FewerJobs?
FewerJobs is a curated remote-job search engine for people who want verified employer benefits before they apply.
How does FewerJobs verify benefits?
FewerJobs records a policy value, source URL, source type, source date when available, and verification note for each verified benefit claim.
Is FewerJobs free?
Yes. Public job search, public JSON endpoints, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, and the public MCP server are available without an account.
Does FewerJobs cover the EU?
FewerJobs currently focuses on U.S.-eligible remote roles. EU coverage is planned separately through the EU waitlist.
Can AI agents use FewerJobs?
Yes. AI agents can use /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt, /api/openapi.json, /api/jobs.json, and the public MCP server at mcp.fewerjobs.com.
What we do differently
- Every benefit claim links to its source. If a card says "16 weeks paid parental leave," click the ✓ to read the policy doc on the employer's own site.
- State-aware eligibility. We extract which states each role can be hired in, so you know before you click apply.
- Freshness-first. We re-check daily and remove dead listings within 48 hours. No ghost jobs.
- No paywall, no account, no ads. Browsing is free and will stay free.
- Filter-driven, never resume-driven. You control what you see; we don't ask for a resume.
- AI-friendly by design. Same data is available at
/api/jobs.jsonfor any AI agent. See /llms.txt.
Two wedges
- Family-friendly remote work: curated remote roles at companies with verified family-friendly benefits.
- Ownership upside: top-startup employers where you can target equity, profit-sharing, and ownership.
These are not separate audiences. Family-focused parents at startups often need both: credible leave and flexibility plus a way to find roles where compensation can include ownership, not only salary.
How verification works
For each employer in our verified-benefits set, we read a primary source — the employer's official benefits page, an SEC filing, or a published handbook — and record the paid-leave-week values plus the source URL plus the date we last verified it. The checked-in benefits cache currently contains 148 employer benefit records, including 65 verified rows and 72 rows with a numeric non-birth-parent leave value.
What we don't claim
- We don't claim to cover every employer. We cover ~1,000 employers, primarily large public companies plus modern tech-forward employers.
- We don't claim our verified-benefits set is comprehensive across every benefit. We focus on parental leave first; PTO, health, and 401(k) coverage expands over time.
- We don't endorse employers; the verified ✓ means we read their stated policy, not that we vouch for the workplace.
How we operate
- Logged-off only. We never authenticate to any source.
- No CAPTCHA bypass. If a site serves a challenge, we move on.
- Respect published access-policy files as a courtesy.
- No employer logos without license.
- Fact-extract + ~30-word excerpt + outlink to the source for the full text.
- Per-source kill switch in our data-collection config for escalated claims.

Removal requests
We separate three categories with different processes:
- DMCA copyright notices. Sent to our designated DMCA agent at [email protected]. Processed under § 512 of the DMCA. We comply with valid notices.
- Listing accuracy / data corrections. If a benefit number, salary, or apply URL is wrong, email [email protected]. We fix errors quickly — we don't remove the listing, we correct it.
- Source-level or employer removal requests. Reviewed case-by-case at [email protected]. We aggregate publicly-posted listings under the legal basis established by Meta v. Bright Data and X Corp v. Bright Data (N.D. Cal. 2024) — logged-off access to public data does not breach platform Terms because we never agreed to them. We don't auto-remove on demand; if you have a stated legal claim, we'll review in good faith.
