About this role
Network Design Architect Melbourne, VIC, Australia Melbourne, VIC, Australia What success looks like in this role: We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of enterprise network solutions. The role involves managing and optimizing data center networking and SD-WAN environments to ensure high performance and reliability. You will be responsible for planning and delivering new network projects from initiation through to completion. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate effort estimations to support project timelines and resource planning. You will create and review Statements of Work (SOW) to clearly define project scope, deliverables, and expectations. Designing scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures will be a key responsibility. You will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and modern network technologies is essential. The role also requires troubleshooting complex issues and continuously improving network performance. You will be successful in this role if you have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design. Strong expertise in data center networking (LAN/WAN, routing, switching). Proven experience with SD-WAN technologies and implementations. Experience in effort estimation, project planning, and SOW creation. Hands-on experience with network security, firewalls, and segmentation. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are preferred. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
