About the role What your role will be… As a Senior Lending Advisor, you'll help clients achieve their homeownership goals by delivering expert mortgage advice, strengthening relationships, and driving lending growth. You'll support clients through new mortgages, renewals, restructures, and refinances while leveraging Scotiabank solutions to meet broader financial needs. What you'll be doing… Provide tailored mortgage solutions and manage renewal leads, including retention offers and rate negotiations. Deepen relationships by identifying cross-sell opportunities and partnering with Wealth, Business Banking, and Home Financing teams. Grow your client base through proactive outreach, networking, and referrals. Deliver exceptional client experiences aligned with the Customer Experience Model (CEM). Maintain strong risk management, compliance, and operational practices. What you need to succeed… The appetite and drive to build strong client relationships Expert knowledge of mortgage products, processes, systems, and compliance requirements. Advanced skills in credit adjudication, negotiation, retention, and relationship-building. Strong understanding of retail banking solutions and self-service digital tools. Experience working with mortgage clients or within financial services. The proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment
