    Recreation Fee Technician Multiple Locations Summary This position is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in the Business & Technology Division. Career-seasonal positions are subject to release and recall procedures. These positions offer permanent benefits but not year-round work. Selectees will be in non-pay/non-duty status for 2 weeks to 6 months annually, depending on project needs or weather. They are guaranteed at least 6 months of work and no more than 50 weeks per year. Duties In this position, your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining the area's recreational opportunities, including NPS interpretive services, concession operated facilities and services, campground availability, hiking trails, etc. Perform assignments in accordance with all NPS and U.S. Treasury regulations governing the handling of government funds. Assist higher level personnel with auditing fee collection program components/systems (e.g. cash registers, road/trail registers, honor systems, automated fee machines or AFMs, donation boxes, etc.); assist in completing audit paperwork and documenting findings; communicate audit results to supervisor.
