Senior Engineering Manager, Optimize San Francisco, California, United States About this role As a Senior Engineering Manager at Scribe, you'll be at the forefront of building and scaling a product that transforms how people document and share knowledge. You'll lead a high-performing full-stack team, tackling complex technical and product challenges in a fast-moving environment. The team is responsible for a new, AI-driven product that we believe is going to be wildly successful with our existing customers and new ones, too. Beyond building great products, you'll shape Scribe's engineering culture, drive technical excellence, and contribute to company-wide strategy as we scale. We work with a variety of technologies, particularly React, NextJS, Django, Postgres, and AWS. We also build features that interact heavily with modern, best-in-class commercial large language models (LLMs). While experience with these technologies is helpful, we value adaptability and a willingness to learn just as much. Responsibilities - Define and execute the technical vision, leading the team to build scalable, reliable, and elegant solutions. - Own product outcomes, working closely with product, design, and business leaders to ensure we're solving the most important problems. - Architect processes that scale, balancing speed and stability as the company grows. - Drive execution, ensuring the team consistently ships high-impact, high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. - Raise the bar, fostering a culture of technical excellence, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement. - Be a force multiplier, hiring, coaching, and mentoring a high-caliber, diverse team of engineers.
