Sr. Scientist, Bioassay San Diego, California Boston, Massachusetts Job Summary BioLegend is seeking a Bioassay Scientist to join the Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCBio) team. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing cell-based bioassays and functional binding assays to evaluate the activity and performance of recombinant proteins and neutralizing antibodies, supporting research, development, and product quality initiatives. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develop cell based assays and functional binding assays Optimize and trouble shoot existing assays Document experiments and results in a regulatory compliant manner Effectively communicate experimental results and strategies in presentations and written reports Write SOP and protocols in support of new product release Work across functional groups to facilitate new product development Maintain scientific knowledge and critically evaluate scientific literature and industry trends in order to contribute to new product development Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience MS in Biology or a related field with at least 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience OR PhD in Biology or a related field 5+ years of experience in cell based assay development and functional binding assay development 5+ years of experience in tissue/cell culture Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience MS in Biology or a related field with at least 10+ years of relevant laboratory experience PhD in Biology or a related field with at least 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience Experience in cell based assay development and functional binding assay development 5+ years of
