Sr. Staff Scientist, Assay R&D Fremont, CA Based in Fremont, California, Personalis is a genome-oriented diagnostics company pioneering new paradigms in cancer management. We transform patient care through genomic characterization of tumors and ultrasensitive detection of disease recurrence or progression. To achieve this, we leverage whole-genome, exome, and bespoke targeted sequencing with proprietary algorithms to provide unmatched genetic accuracy. Join a world-class, multidisciplinary team to drive impactful R&D projects to improve our cutting-edge clinical offerings. Your work will advance a new generation of precision medicine products used by global biopharma and clinicians to transform cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. Responsibilities: Organize and help perform internal proof of principle projects, development projects, and verification and validation exercises for liquid biopsy products in the Personalis portfolio. Work with the broader R&D organization to scope, track and troubleshoot liquid biopsy projects with internal and external collaborators and customers. Collaborate with process development, tech transfer, and operations teams to shepherd early stage products, product revisions, and early projects through to operations. Work with bioinformatics teams to plan experiments and analyze results. Identify problems in current processes and come up with troubleshooting approaches and Participate in meetings and present results. Use effective two-way communication to create and maintain a collaborative working environment. Support and ensure compliance with all department and company policies and procedures. Education and Experience: Ph.D or MS with a minimum of 8 or 12 years of experience. Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience in NGS and/or liquid biopsy focused molecular biology. Solid
