About this role

Chief Enterprise Architect Multiple Locations Summary This position is located in the Railroad Retirement Board's Bureau of Information Services. The incumbent will be responsible for aligning mission, business policies, People, Process, Finance, Security and Technology (PPPFST) capabilities with the Railroad Retirement Board's long term strategic goals reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This job announcement may be used to fill one or more vacancies. This is a non-bargaining unit position. Duties As a Chief Enterprise Architect, you will: Provides enterprise-level leadership to a cross-matrixed, multidisciplinary team, ensuring coordinated collaboration and integrated strategies to advance digital modernization. Leads the development of integrated business and digital modernization strategies; conducts enterprise-level analyses of alternatives (AoAs); and provides investment-ready business cases and recommendations to guide prioritization, resource decisions, and modernization roadmaps that address PPPFST. Collaborates with the CIO, senior executives, Bureau and Office Heads, and external partners to design future-state architectures; validate approaches through pilots, prototypes, and structured studies; and establish enterprise standards, governance, and performance measures that ensure cross-bureau alignment, interoperability, security, and measurable mission value.
