Senior Data Platform Engineer (AI & Lakehouse) CIUDAD DE MEXICO, CIUDAD DE MEXICO, Mexico, MX About the Role We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help customers design and implement modern data platforms that enable scalable analytics and AI initiatives. This role is focused on building the data foundation behind AI solutions, including lakehouse architectures, data governance, data quality, data unification, and enterprise data modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with client-facing consulting skills, and has hands-on experience delivering real-world data platform or migration projects in complex enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Design and implement modern data platform architectures, including data lakes and lakehouse environments. Lead technical discussions with customers to understand business and data challenges and translate them into scalable architecture solutions. Support enterprise data modernization and migration initiatives across cloud ecosystems. Define and implement data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data unification strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, AI specialists, and business stakeholders. Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Drive best practices around scalability, security, reliability, and performance of enterprise data platforms. Present technical solutions and architecture recommendations to both technical and business audiences. Contribute to AI-related initiatives by enabling high-quality and well-governed data foundations. Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team. Preferred Background 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Platform roles. Proven experience delivering enterprise data platform, data lake, or lakehouse projects.
