Manager, Third-Party Risk Management (GTM) San Francisco, California, United States About the Team OpenAI is building a world-class customer and ecosystem risk program to support our global growth across enterprise, API, advertising, and strategic partnership channels. We're hiring a Third Party Risk Manager (GTM) to help scale customer risk operations, KYC/KYB onboarding, and sanctions screening across a rapidly expanding global customer and supplier ecosystem. About the Role This role is highly operational and cross-functional. You'll work closely with Legal, Security, Finance, Procurement, GTM Systems, and Sales teams to operationalize scalable risk controls without slowing the business down. You'll help design and improve onboarding workflows, drive customer and supplier sanctions screening operations, support complex escalations, and integrate risk tooling into business processes at scale. We're looking for someone who combines operational rigor with strong judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: - Lead day-to-day execution of customer and advertiser risk reviews, KYC/KYB onboarding, sanctions screening, and enhanced due diligence workflows across global customer populations. - Manage lifecycle risk operations from onboarding through monitoring, escalation, reassessment, and offboarding for customers, advertisers, and strategic counterparties. - Oversee sanctions screening operations across both customer and supplier populations, including development of automated screening workflows, escalation management, adverse media review, and disposition governance. - Build and
