The Science desk is seeking a creative and ambitious editor to lead visual journalism that helps people understand the world of science in compelling and surprising ways.The Science desk is a highly collaborative team; editors and reporters work closely together to tell stories that resonate with readers. You will be part of the desk's leadership group, responsible for setting our news and enterprise goals and then realizing our ambitions. You'll coach and manage the work of journalists while also partnering with the Times's visual journalists to help create a heartbeat of engaging projects that leverage text, video, graphics, photography or a mix of forms. You are a capable editor of text and visuals, and you're comfortable with the technical complexity of modern digital publishing.
