About this role
Business Analyst (Top Secret cleared) Washington, DC Please note: This role is contingent upon a contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award. The Work: We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal government program by gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into technical and functional requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments and partnering with technical teams to improve systems, processes, and data-driven decision‑making. This role works closely with government stakeholders, product owners, developers, and cloud engineers to ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered in alignment with mission objectives. Job Location: This is remote with periodic travel to the client office in Washington, DC. Preference to candidates who live in National Capital Region. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections. What You Will Do: Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for government systems and applications Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria Work with AWS-focused technical teams to support cloud-based solutions and system enhancements Support system modernization initiatives, cloud migrations, and application enhancements Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives) Develop and maintain documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, process maps, and workflows Analyze current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements Coordinate with stakeholders to
