Senior Global Category Manager- Resins & Plastics Suzhou Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned category/categories, ensuring optimal acquisition, performance, and lifecycle management while driving cost efficiency, operational reliability, and technological innovation Conduct supplier risk assessments, establish dual sourcing strategies, and develop contingency plans for all critical assigned category/categories Build and maintain strong relationships with global and regional suppliers to ensure world-class quality, cost efficiency, delivery reliability, and innovation Lead supplier scouting, qualification, and negotiation processes, with an in-depth understanding of capabilities across North America, EMEA, and the APAC region Evaluate internal capabilities and perform make-versus-buy assessments to identify the most cost-efficient and strategically balanced sourcing approach for assigned category/categories requirements Collaborate with engineering, operations, and new product development teams to align assigned category/categories strategies with product roadmaps and plant requirements Drive standardization, cost optimization, and design-to-cost initiatives across assigned category/categories Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and geopolitical impacts on assigned category/categories supply chains to develop resilient strategies for supply continuity Support capital expenditure (Capex) planning and execution, ensuring alignment with operational and financial targets Lead and manage their global team as well as cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or a related field 10+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, specifically for assigned category/categories Expertise in supplier scouting, qualification and negotiations, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and supply chain resilience.
