About this role
Manufacturing Technical Manager - APAC Shanghai, China; Shenzhen, China The role of an MTM starts from the early concept phase of PDP where they collaborate with PD, AME and suppliers with development of a manufacturing process flow and intent. This translates into development of a Product Manufacturing Plan (PMP), line layout and Equipment/Fixture (E&F) plan that matures through the NPI cycle. MTM is responsible to ensure overall FATP line readiness to enable NPI builds and its execution, and are also accountable for key manufacturing metrics including first and last pass yield, cycle time study (UPH) and efficiency. MTM actively program manages and drives failure analysis and corrective actions (FACA) for Major Issues List (MIL) issues identified during the NPI builds to achieve these metrics. Technical, program management and leadership vectors are critical for a MTM to be successful, given that they are extremely cross-functional in their work and need to partner effectively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders to deliver. Responsibilities: - Define and achieve Ops KPI (UPH, yield, & OEE) with inputs from the XFN Ops team during NPI builds - Develop PMP (Product Manufacturing Plan including the holistic manufacturing process flow, line layout, FA process flow, repair and rework process flow, HC, and QPL (CapEx quantity per line) estimations), communicate and drive the execution at T1 & T1.5 suppliers during NPI builds - Collaborate with the XFN team to drive SMT and FATP E&F schedule and line readiness by closely monitoring equipment delivery, line bring-up, and qualification
