Across Infrastructure, Reality Labs, Robotics, and Research, our teams tackle complex challenges in consumer electronics, data centers, advanced robotics, opto-mechanical systems, and more. We bring together cross-disciplinary minds to invent, prototype, and deliver products and platforms that connect billions of people worldwide. As a Mechanical/Product Design Engineer, you are an established and highly productive technical leader responsible for driving the execution of complex projects. You will own critical systems from concept to launch, applying subject matter expertise to develop strategy, mentor other engineers, and align solutions across multiple teams. This role is for an engineer who can navigate ambiguity, influence program direction, and is sought out by peers for their technical guidance. Responsibilities: - Own and deliver complex, high-impact mechanical systems and architectures, driving technical solutions and strategy from concept to mass production - Provide technical direction and mentorship. Proactively identify and solve important technical problems, contributing to the broader organizational strategy and setting goals across teams - Work closely with and influence a wide range of internal and external partners. Persuade audiences and drive progress on complex projects with dependencies across multiple functions - Drive projects through early research and development and/or full development cycle, from early concept and prototyping through to validation and mass production, ensuring alignment with program strategy and execution - Take responsibility for the engineering
