You will provide strategic direction and leadership for the planning and definition of Access Edge products - Edge platforms (servers, software, storage, WiFi). These platforms are located at the customer venues (aircraft, ships, homes, enterprises), for use on Viasat's networks, delivering connectivity experiences to consumers. You will collaborate with all Viasat markets and with the broad set of engineering teams, on their needs and find the best solution to meet market needs including schedule, TCO, performance, and reliability. The day-to-day Develop and deliver objectives and key results, business cases, roadmaps, and reduction of technical debt working with Business PdMs, engineering teams, and other Tech PdMs across engineering. Ensure Access Edge engineering teams have transparency of requirements, and acceptance criteria. Drive product roadmaps and lifecycles to increase return on investment (technology reuse, platform convergence), and decrease TCO (quality, diagnostics, supportability, EOL, simpler business process). What you'll do The Narrowband Field Applications Engineer within Viasat Government will provide customer, production, and engineering support for both US and foreign government systems, including hubs, remote terminals, and COTS equipment. This support will include a mixture of remote and onsite support. The day-to-day Support installation and deployment, as well as testing, documentation & training, operations & maintenance of UHF DAMA and IW Networks. Collaborate with both internal and external customers. Support hardware and software installations and updates.
