About this role
Agentic Automation Engineer - Assistant Vice President / Vice President Lisbon, Portugal This role focuses on building and supporting UiPath-based automation that incorporates agentic AI components and AI capabilities. The objective is to strengthen existing RPA workflows by adding intelligent decisioning, document understanding, and data extraction, while keeping the role execution focused. The emphasis is on reliability and delivery: building automations that work in production, are maintainable, and scale across document-heavy operational processes. Responsibilities - Design, build, and support UiPath automations for document processing, data movement, and operational workflows. - Enhance existing RPA processes with agentic AI capabilities, including multi-step workflows where bots coordinate tasks and make decisions based on context. - Integrate basic AI and ML capabilities into UiPath automations, such as document classification, data extraction, and text processing. - Build and maintain orchestrated workflows using UiPath components (queues, triggers, assets, APIs). - Support system-to-system integrations to enable secure and reliable data exchange between document repositories, internal systems, and external platforms. - Monitor and support automations in production, troubleshoot failures, and improve stability through retries, exception handling, logging, and controls. - Work closely with Automation Leads, Product, and Operations teams to translate defined requirements into working automations. - Contribute to documentation and standards to reduce dependency on individual developers and improve long-term maintainability. Qualifications - Experience as a UiPath Developer building production RPA solutions. - Hands-on experience with document-heavy automation (forms, onboarding materials, contracts, reports). - Exposure to AI-enabled automation, including UiPath Document Understanding or AI-based data extraction. -
