About this role
IT Infrastructure Engineer (ICT Infrastructuur Specialist), Global Server Operations Eemshaven, Netherlands Google isn't just a software company, we build the physical internet. The Hardware Operations team is the boots-on-the-ground crew responsible for the equipment behind Google's technology. As a Technician on our team, your job is to keep the hardware and networks physically connected and running smoothly in our data centers. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot physical servers, network switches, and cabling. When something breaks, you will be the one diagnosing the hardware issue and making the repair. You will also step up to help lead projects during major facility upgrades and new equipment rollouts. A normal day involves using tools, manually moving server racks, and navigating an industrial environment. You will have a foundation in skilled trades, equipment maintenance, or IT support, and will be taking things apart just to see how they work. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Netherlands: €64000 - €66000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
