Locations In this role you can work from Remote, Australia Overview The Corporate Communications team is looking for a Communications Manager, APAC, to localize GitHub news and drive impactful media coverage across the APAC region. You'll work cross-functionally to identify storytelling opportunities that highlight GitHub's products and drive customer adoption - adapting global narratives for regional relevance and building relationships with local media, influencers, and analysts. Responsibilities Storytelling & Messaging - Localize GitHub's global narratives for APAC markets, using data, product launches, and more to cultivate compelling stories that generate positive perceptions toward GitHub - Determine the right format and channel for each story based on target audience(s) across diverse APAC markets - Create narratives based on messaging frameworks in partnership with broader Corporate Communications team Communication Strategy & Execution - Develop and execute overall APAC communications strategy, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all relevant channels - Develop content and collateral (including briefing documents, media alerts and pitches, and talking points) for regional communications initiatives and events - Media train regional spokespeople and staff press briefings - Support broader issues management and incident response efforts - Measure impact of communications initiatives and leverage data-driven
