Compliance Coordinator Eagan, MN, United States Company Description: Expeditors is a global logistics company headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. Services include the consolidation or forwarding of air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, vendor consolidation, cargo insurance, time-definite transportation, order management, warehousing and distribution and customized logistics solutions. Job Description: Manage day to day Customs functions for a large importer. This role is dedicated to a client account and described as on-site. When the role cannot be on-site at client location, the role will work out of the Expeditors office. Includes the following areas: Provide support for broker inquiries to obtain necessary product regulatory data to comply with CBP and OGA import regulations and procedures Audit Customs entries for compliance related issues such as valuation, classification and OGA requirements Classify products according to the U.S. Harmonized Tariff System Preparation of assist worksheets to support customs brokers for importation from suppliers when applicable Assist with various tasks to integrate compliance controls for newly acquired companies or support changes in business. These tasks will include working with international suppliers to communicate import requirements, setting up company product information in company system, assisting with establishment of import controls, etc.... Qualifications: 3+ years experience working in Customs Brokerage College Degree Licensed Broker preferred Knowledge of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Systems US Customs regulatory knowledge Excellent Communications skills
