Lineworker II - Lineworker Sr. City Marksville Job Title: Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: This position may be filled as a Lineworker (Mechanic) II, III, or Sr based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: The ability to perform all aspects of the Lineworker job function including but not limited to the day-to-day aspects of maintaining and building overhead and underground electrical facilities. Responsible various levels of learning, performing, and/or leading other lineworkers, material maintenance as well as, up to and including, aerial and underground work including utility distribution construction tasks. Working with a Live Safe mindset in all tasks; ensuring to mitigate hazards where identified. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Lineworker II Ability to perform overhead tasks, including energized primary cover up to 34,500 volts. Ability to understand transformer theories including bank installations, tap settings, and identifying and constructing multiple secondary voltage applications. Ability to learn and perform simple primary voltage switching (up to 34,500 volts) tasks and applications. Ability to lift, rig and tie knots to set up, construct, frame poles, and change out cross-arms, identifying materials and understanding distribution construction specifications.
