About this role

Legal Counsel Mont Royal Job Summary Dollarama is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our legal team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Affairs and Privacy Officer, the Legal Counsel will provide timely and practical legal advice on commercial matters and privacy compliance to support the company's day-to-day business and operational activities across Canada, and contractual matters involving Latin America and Australia. The Legal Counsel will work collaboratively with business partners and key stakeholders to draft, negotiate and review commercial agreements, advise on Canadian and Quebec privacy law requirements, and provide guidance on technology and AI-related matters. This role is integral to mitigating legal risk and safeguarding the company's assets and reputation. Key Accountabilities • Provide timely and practical legal advice on commercial and privacy matters to support business and operational activities. • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, licensing, technology agreements and terms of service. • Conduct legal research and provide legal guidance on technology and AI matters, including advising on compliance requirements and developing policies relating to emerging technologies. • Support cross-functional teams across the organization, including Projects, Cybersecurity, IT and Technology. • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the company's operations and advise business partners on potential impacts and risks. •
