FIREFIGHTER (BLS) Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base, Georgia Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Duties You will perform structural firefighting duties at a large industrial facility, station, or installation where the structures, equipment, and operations present complex and hazardous firefighting situations. You will work as a member of a crew whose primary purpose is to control and extinguish fires, rescue individuals endangered by fire, reduces or eliminate potential fire hazards, preforms confined space, above and below grade and high angle rescue. You will respond as a member of a Hazardous Materials response team for the purpose of containment, control and mitigation of spill or release and provide emergency medical services. You will control and extinguish fires by operating a hose, ladder, hydrant and/or rescuing endangered people. You will operate pumps, foam generators, boom nozzles, and other related equipment. You will perform as an Emergency Medical technician, respond to medical emergencies, analyze the situation, initiating a variety of emergency medical procedures or pre-established protocols. You will administer emergency medical care performing Basic Life Support tasks. You will communicate with medical facilities providing information regarding victim's conditions, vital signs, temperature, etc.
