CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Duties You will provide liaison with local medical command as well as any appropriate civilian hospital psychology departments, when needed services are unavailable at the brig. You will provide professional advisory services, consultation, and training to other health care professionals, installation personnel, correctional staff, and community agencies. You will provide facilitate group therapy and conduct individual therapy specific to prisoners with a history of sexual offending, violent offending, mental health concerns, trauma, and substance abuse. You will provide assessment, planning and implementation of interventions for the spectrum of problems encountered in a mental health clinic within a correctional setting. You will apply provide comprehensive and professional psychology services in support of the Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar (NCBM) requirements and initiatives. Education Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Clinical psychology: For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements a the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required.
