About this role
Interdisciplinary (General Engineer/Operations Research Analyst) Redstone Arsenal, Alabama Summary This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for: Manage the daily coordination, integration, and synchronization of flight test activities in support of Mission Test Director. Duties This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. As an an Interdisciplinary (General Engineer/Operations Research Analyst) at the NH-0801/1515-3 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Support flight test design and truth analysis, including development of defense design; planning trajectories; radar cross section and optical data analysis; mission timelines; sensor planning; link margin, range safety, pre- and post-test truth data analysis; feasibility assessments; test case analysis; risk and debris analysis; and test concept development. Support flight tests as the Integrated Event Test Team Planning and Truth Lead as required. Responsible for developing analysis and reports of performed analysis for Flight Tests to include Pre-Mission, Execution, and Post-Mission. Support Flight Test Working Groups to include Signature Working Groups, Joint Analysis Team, Scenario Design Reviews, and all associated meetings for assigned missions. Facilitate and provide interaction with the Mission Director, Stakeholders, and Senior Leadership on all aspects of mission.
