Field Representative (Bilingual) Location Negotiable After Selection Summary This vacancy is for a Bilingual Field Representative (FR) position Anywhere in the United States and Puerto Rico. Visit Census.gov to apply to the non-bilingual announcement. Applicants selected will have their home as their Duty Station and will be required to travel throughout their local area. Duties Conducts interviews primarily in person (door to door) and when requested may conduct phone interviews to collect survey or census data as required within an assigned geographic area. Communicates with respondents, supervisors, and other persons as appropriate. Understands survey materials in order to explain the purpose of surveys, ask questions as worded on the questionnaire or survey instrument, and enters accurate and complete information into a laptop computer or onto survey forms. Maintains personal payroll records that reflect hours worked, miles driven, and reimbursements for travel and communications claimed. Completes and attends training as necessary in-person or online. Requirements You must be 18 years old. You must be a US Citizen. You must have good hearing and the ability to read small print found on surveys. You must be in good physical condition to drive, climb stairs, and walk for extended periods. You will occasionally be required to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
