Right of Way Agent 1-2 Texas - Dallas THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION Primary Duties 1. Due to complexity of work, works under close supervision in tandem with higher level Right of Way Agents involving, but not limited to the following: a. Analyzes easements, leases, licenses, permits, contracts and related right of way documents for compliance and to assure proper maintenance of company assets. b. Researches and settles encroachment situations. Coordinates with Operations, Engineering, and Legal on any proposed encroachments. c. Maintains land rights documentation. Retrieves documentation as needed regarding prior company rights and establishes relocation liability costs for future road move projects. d. Reviews proposed residential and commercial developer plans that could result in Encroachment Agreements, Tract Releases, and defining of blanket easements. 2. Contacts various state, county and/or local agencies to secure permits for road, railroad, and bridge crossings and construction site excavations. 3. Assists in the coordination of activities between Engineering and Operations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Educational/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent. Experience in right of way or natural gas is preferred. Communication Skills: Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information. Requires the ability to negotiate or persuade others. Numeric Skills: Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Computer Skills: Requires a working knowledge of various business
