About this role
Technician I Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite The Technician is responsible for overhauling and repair aircraft oxygen masks, cylinders, fire extinguishers and other aviation components. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Overhaul and repair fire extinguishers, oxygen masks, cylinder/regulator assemblies. Receive equipment and product inspection. Complete work orders and other paperwork. Test equipment through the use of pressure gauges and flow meters. Troubleshoot mechanical issues by following the maintenance manuals. Torque regulators to the cylinders using product specs from the OEM manuals. Hydrostatically test oxygen cylinders. Education : High School Diploma or GED required. A&P certification is strongly preferred Experience : 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in the use of hand tools. Experience in working with high pressure oxygen. Aircraft industry experience preferred. Qualifications : Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, Parts Manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Must pass FAA pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing. Typical Working Conditions : Work will be conducted mostly indoors in a “shop” type environment.
