Staff Accountant Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented self-starter to support our growing manufacturing operations. As a Staff Accountant , you will focus on cost accounting and financial analysis, helping to optimize budgets, improve cost-efficiency, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and data analysis. What you will do: Cost System Setup & Maintenance These tasks ensure the foundational accuracy of cost data: Maintain and update cost standard files; collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain departments to ensure accurate cost roll-ups Maintain cost system documentation and contribute to continuous process improvements Transactional Recording & Accuracy These responsibilities involve daily/weekly/monthly entries and data integrity: Book sales, intercompany transfers, labor, and inventory transactions accurately Prepare journal entries and verify the accuracy of monthly financial statements Inventory & Cost Analysis These tasks focus on inventory control and cost evaluation: Prepare and reconcile monthly plant inventories and general ledger entries Collect, analyze, and report on operational and manufacturing costs Conduct annual physical inventory reconciliations and standard cost reevaluations Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis These responsibilities support performance tracking and reporting: Generate financial reports and present variance anal
