About this role
Senior PCB Designer Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite As the Senior PCB Designer with AMETEK Rotron, you will play a key part in supporting engineering efforts by assisting in the design and development of detailed layouts of printed circuit boards. You will develop printed circuit board layouts based on input from both electrical and mechanical engineers, helping define overall functional requirements while working within the prescribed physical constraints. In this role you will be responsible for importing schematics generated by electrical engineers, as well as completing schematic drawings with minimal engineering assistance. This will require a clear understanding of design intent and the ability to translate requirements into accurate PCB layouts. You will also be responsible for releasing the complete PCB assembly package, including fabrication drawings, assembly prints, and bills of materials, ensuring all documentation is complete and ready for production. Responsibilities: Review PCB layouts to ensure proper EMI, EMC and safety concerns are accounted for Generate electrical schematics, drawings and 3D models using Altium PCB 3D and SolidWorks Design through hole and surface mount PCB assemblies using 3D PCB layout tool Update hand drawn or PADS drawings, into change order systems or transfer to Altium PCB Good planning and organization skills Prepare and release all required assembly and fabrication documentation, including 2D drawings and 3D models Qualifications: Experienced reading schematics and mechanical assembl
