Senior Accounting Manager Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite Amptek is a world leader in the design, development, manufacture, and sale of radiation detection components used in X-ray and gamma-ray detection. These are used primarily in X-ray spectroscopy, for analytical chemistry in laboratory and portable applications, and in nuclear and space research. The Senior Accounting Manager will report to the Amptek Controller and coordinates the daily general accounting functions. This individual is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and business plans. The Accounting Manager will supervise the Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant and is responsible for managing the team to ensure work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner, with future opportunities for supervision of additional personnel as the role evolves and develops. This position manages tight deadlines, competing priorities and a full range of accounting activities including general ledger, financial reporting, year-end and internal audit support, Sarbanes Oxley documentation and compliance, tax compliance, fixed assets and support of budget and forecast activities.
