About this role
Cost Accountant Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite AMETEK's Advanced Measurement Technology (AMT) business unit, within the Materials Analysis Division of AMETEK's Electronic Instruments Group, currently has an opening for a Cost Accountant. The Cost Accountant position is a hands-on, finance professional that performs a variety of routine duties of an operational and accounting nature requiring some solo judgment. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and an understanding of manufacturing accounting. The Cost Accountant position will be responsible for the following Costing Activities: Ensure accurate product costing - including reviewing BOM's, overhead rates, etc. Provide accurate cost and analysis for pricing review Make vs Buy analysis Drive the annual standard cost review Coordinate Annual Physical in Oakridge and Athens sites and spot check cycle count every month in Oakridge and Athens sites. Create and monitor special project accounting Support Operations by creating/maintaining dashboards, metrics, and other relevant reporting Plan, coordinate and assist reconciliation of cycle counts and physical inventories Create/Maintain documentation of the procedures performed Brainstorm and help implement cost reductions/process improvements, etc. Other duties as assigned The Cost Accountant position will be responsible for the following GL activities: Assist with month end closing and preparation of monthly financial statements Assist with implementing and maintaining internal fin
