About this role
Program Manager Ops Excellence, Ultrafast delivery Tokyo, JPN Amazon is looking for a data-driven, hands-on, and innovative Program Manager to join our Operational Excellence team. As the backbone of our delivery network, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement within our Under the roof (UTR) and on the road (OTR) operations. Your mission is to bridge the gap between current performance and "Best-at-Amazon" benchmarks. You will own the roadmap for productivity metrics, process standardization, and the scaling of ultra-fast fulfillment operations. This role requires a "boots-on-the-ground" approach to identifying bottlenecks and the analytical skills to implement scalable solutions across a rapidly growing network. ------- FLUENT JAPANESE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE. Key job responsibilities Process Standardization & ACES : Drive the adoption best standards across network to ensure uniformity and safety in all processes. Productivity & Metric Ownership: Improve key operational performance indicators (KPIs). Root Cause Analysis: Perform deep-dive analyses into operational defects and SLA breaches. Use data to identify trends and develop corrective action plans for weekly and monthly business reviews (WBR/MBR). Continuous Improvement (Kaizen): Lead Kaizen events and "Gemba" walks to eliminate waste and streamline material flow within the stations. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Tech, Supply Chain, and Product teams to provide operational feedback on new tool rollouts and automation features. Change Management: Act as the primary liaison for process changes, ensuring that SOPs are up to best worldwide standards. FLUENT JAPANESE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.
