What you'll do Join a fast‑paced team within Viasat's Government Space and Advanced Technologies group as a Mid‑Level Systems Engineer. In this role, you will: Support system‑level build and analysis for communication and sensing systems. Contribute to algorithm development for signal processing, control theory, and system optimization. Assist with waveform develop and performance evaluation. Collaborate alongside teams in systems engineering, firmware, software, and integration & test. The day-to-day Translate mission needs into technical requirements and engineering solutions. Implement and test algorithms in firmware or software under mentorship from senior team members. Participate in integration and system bring‑up activities. Work with analysis and requirements teams to maintain build consistency. What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred. With a Master's degree or comparable experience, have 3-5 years working on system building, modeling, or algorithm development. Or, possess 5-7 years of applying these skills with a Bachelor's degree or similar background. Proficiency in C++, C, MATLAB, or Python for crafting and running simulations.
