About this role
System Engineer Turin, TO, Italy Company Description: Job Description: Who will you be working with? You will work for Annax, a Wabtec site specialized in passenger information systems for long and short distance trains, trams and subways. You will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and work with an international team based in Italy, Switzerland and Germany. How will you make a difference? As a System Engineer you will shape how our onboard Passenger Information Systems, Audio/PA and Video systems behave, communicate and integrate into modern rail vehicles. You will be the technical reference for system behavior, interfaces, network architecture and product performance. This is a role where you own the solution: you influence design choices, coach colleagues on complex topics, and ensure the product works seamlessly across the whole lifecycle. What will your typical day look like? You understand the system as a whole You develop system-level specifications, interfaces and architectures, ensuring that all components-hardware, embedded devices, audio/video subsystems, network equipment-work together reliably. You guide others You support System Project Engineers with technical insights, helping them take the right decisions and manage complexity. You shape how the product evolves You identify improvements, challenge assumptions, and contribute to the product roadmap with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset. You support integration and validation You assist during lab and on-vehicle activities when needed, providing in-depth troubleshooting and ensuring the final solution meets quality and customer expectations.
