THE TEAM We are looking for a seasoned engineer to build and maintain the system that produces essential reference data that is critical for most systems throughout Virtu: trading systems, quantitative research systems, and back office systems. THE ROLE - Aggregate, validate, enrich, and distribute big datasets from many big data vendors (Bloomberg, LSEG) - Build, test, implement, and maintain various databases and API - Architect custom software solutions for business stakeholders to improve daily management and evaluation of data across the firm - Support large-scale migrations for global, multi-asset data - Monitor day-to-day operation of the production system - Perform proactive and reactive system maintenance QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - At least 5 years of enterprise-level, distributed systems experience in Java - Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL, Oracle RDBMS)
