The role requires strong hands‑on expertise with MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and IBM DB2, along with skills in ETL processes, SQL scripting, Shell/PowerShell automation, and database performance tuning. Success in this role at Unisys requires the ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless database operations and support enterprise service delivery. Responsibilities: Administer, monitor, and maintain databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and IBM DB2. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching. Monitor database performance, identify issues, and apply tuning to optimize systems. Manage ETL processes for data integration, transformation, and reporting. Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL scripts for automation, reporting, and data manipulation. Create and maintain Shell scripts and PowerShell scripts for routine maintenance, automation, and operational efficiency. Implement and manage database security, user access, backup, and disaster recovery processes. Troubleshoot database issues in production and non-production environments. Manage multiple accounts or projects at the same time, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain service quality. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to support application deployments, resolve issues, and improve database processes.
