Job Overview TE Connectivity is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the R&D Product Development Engineering team in Hastings. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on both new product development and support of existing Backshell product lines supplying into the Aerospace, Defense & Marine (AD&M) sector. The engineer will work throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through validation and production support. The role requires strong mechanical design capability, close collaboration with manufacturing, and use of formal engineering design tools. Your new role: New product development of Backshell and Connector Accessories solutions to meet customer requirements. To be responsible for contributing to sustaining the existing portfolio to new product development, including qualification from market definition through production and release. Generate all required product documentation including, but not limited to, Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications and testing requirements. Maintenance of BOM's using an MRP system (SAP). Ensure that new products are 'designed for manufacture', facilitating manufacturing optimisation or product quality improvements, working closely with other departments.
