About this role

Sr. Accountant Denver, CO (Greenwood Village) Job Description The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial information and reporting. This position mainly focuses on content costs, residuals, and ancillary distribution of content. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations and Close Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules. Support monthly, quarterly and annual close processes. Investigate and explain actual trend variances and actual vs. forecast variances. Perform internal controls and ensure proper documentation. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, schedules and responding to inquiries. Work with other departments, such as IT, operations and marketing on accounting and reporting matters. Participate in process improvements and system enhancements. Support special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed. Finance Partnership Coordinate with FP&A on budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual comparisons. Collaborate with FP&A on budgets and forecasts. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting. 2+ years of progressive accounting experience (mix of public and industry preferred). Some knowledge of internal controls and framework. Strong communication skills. Advanced proficiency with Excel.
