About this role

Director of Product Management, Weather and Climate Boulder, CO Spire Global is seeking a visionary and execution-focused Director, Product Management to lead product strategy for our Weather & Climate business unit. This senior leadership role is accountable for the full product lifecycle - from market discovery and business case development through roadmap execution and commercial launch - across our SaaS and DaaS portfolio. Reporting to executive leadership, the Director will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Engineering, and Data Science teams to identify unmet industry needs, define differentiated solutions, and bring first-to-market products that generate durable revenue and competitive advantage. The ideal candidate combines deep domain expertise in meteorology, atmospheric science, or weather technology with the commercial instincts and leadership skills to shape a high-growth product portfolio. Markets & Domains The Director will own and evolve Spire's product strategy across the following markets: Renewable Energy - wind & solar forecasting Energy Utilities - grid reliability & outage risk Energy & Commodity Trading - weather-driven market signals Smart Agriculture - field-level agrometeorology Soil Moisture Modeling & Remote Sensing Government & Defense Weather Programs Aviation Weather (nice to have) Emerging Climate Risk & Resilience Markets Insurance Risk Management - weather-driven risk assessment & underwriting Parametric Insurance Solutions - index-based triggers & payout modeling Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Define and own the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for Spire's Weather & Climate SaaS and DaaS portfolio, aligned with corporate growth objectives Conduct continuous market research, competitive intelligence, and customer discovery
