Supervisor, Welding (Starship Launch Hardware) - Night Shift Cape Canaveral, FL SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. SUPERVISOR, WELDING (STARSHIP LAUNCH HARDWARE) - NIGHT SHIFT RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and evaluate welding procedures - Assist with the tooling and fixturing designs required for weld operation - Select base material and welding material - Control production weld quality - Utilize welding codes and standards - Provide personnel management and supervision, including mentorship of junior welders - Enforce site and personnel safety - Review and edit documentation, including work reports and record keeping - Supervise and provide daily support to the launch projects welding team - Assess candidates and provide recommendations in the hiring process - Responsible for planning and scheduling work, assigning work, and assessing completed work - Monitor and approve employee time keeping records - Communicate how successful performance will be measured and provide collaborative direction to team members; recommend performance standards and ratings BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalency certificate - 5+ years of professional experience with one or more of the following: gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), TIG, or gas metal arc welding (GMAW) - 2+ years of experience in leading a team or a project PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Experience
