MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, AVIONICS (STARSHIP) The Starship Avionics Manufacturing Engineer role is responsible for supporting avionics manufacturing and test of wire harnessing, electro-mechanical hardware, and other avionics system components to rapidly build Starship vehicles. Manufacturing Engineers will be responsible for continuous improvement and innovation to achieve high-quality and high-rate throughput. Successful candidates will have previously demonstrated extreme ownership in simplifying, innovating, or otherwise improving products and/or production lines and processes, and will be highly motivated to send humanity permanently to the moon and Mars. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide end-to-end ownership of high-rate avionics production line design, bring-up, operations, and improvements - Perform hands-on design for manufacturability engineering as part of the product development cycle and act as primary liaison between the design and production teams - Responsible for avionics part manufacturability and introduction into high-rate manufacturing environment - Contribute to design reviews acting as an expert in design for manufacturability, design for testability, yield improvements, supplier assessments, quality control, etc. - Act as primary point of contact for non-conforming product, troubleshooting, root cause, failure investigations and corrective actions - Lead the initial supply chain development for cable and connector development - Own the design and validation of fixtures, tooling,
