MANAGER, PRODUCTION - SOLAR CELL FACTORY (STARLINK) At SpaceX, we are building the next generation of space infrastructure to enable large-scale AI data centers in orbit. These orbital AI platforms require massive amounts of reliable, high-efficiency solar power to support intensive computing workloads in space. To make this possible, we are standing up one of the largest solar cell manufacturing facilities in the world. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the ramp-up and sustained operation of high-volume solar cell production lines. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to build and shape the production organization from the ground up while directly enabling SpaceX's ambitious vision for AI data centers in space. RESPONSIBILITIES : - Lead daily operations of high-volume solar cell production lines, driving aggressive ramp-up and sustained output to meet demanding production schedules - Own end-to-end performance metrics including yield, throughput, cycle time, and cost-per-watt for space-grade solar cells - Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of production supervisors, specialists, technicians, and associates in a 24/7 environment - Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and achieve world-class quality standards - Collaborate closely with supporting organizations teams
