Job Description: Job Purpose: This is an important role within the JC India Shared Service Centre (SSC) supporting customers in John Crane and The Smiths Group by managing and providing accounting services. The role is to lead the general accounting including accruals, prepayments, journals, taxation support, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities and the undertaking of the financial controls operated within the SSC for the assigned entities. Responsibilities also include the Balance Sheet Review process for assigned entities and working closely with the entity Controlling teams to ensure the accuracy of the accounting records. Responsibilities: Key areas of support will include but not limited: Accruals & prepayments General Ledger Journals General ledger Reconciliations Intercompany recharge management Fixed Asset Accounting Month-end close activities Preparation of Balance Sheet Reviews and the provision of supporting documentation Support the annual financial statement audits by providing analysis and supporting documentation Support local direct and indirect tax filings by providing reports and analysis Monthly upload of SAP to IBM Cognos TM1 for internal reporting Additional half-year and year-end reporting
