About this role
Senior Software Engineer | Aura Platform Portugal Position Overview We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Aura AI Platform team. You will design, build, and operate the infrastructure that runs customer workloads (Notebooks, Jobs, Apps, AI Agents, and Model-serving) on top of SingleStore, across multiple regions and clouds. You will work on services that manage container pools, resource scaling, routing, RBAC, Billing, Observability and secure network access between clusters. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building distributed platforms, owning production systems, and enabling real-time AI and data applications at scale. What you'll do: - Design, build and maintain the platform that powers internal and customer‑facing intelligent services on SingleStore - Lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from conception to deployment, mentoring other engineers along the way - Work closely with product managers, designers, customers, and other engineers to ensure we deliver a high-quality experience - Drive the team's engineering standards, championing best practices in system design, code quality, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure we scale reliably. - Share on-call responsibilities and proactively improve the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. Your Experience: - 4+ years of experience working on a SaaS product - Experience with working on distributed systems, ideally in programming languages such as Golang, Python or Rust - Experience working with Kubernetes and/or containerized services - Intellectual curiosity about investigating issues that impact business metrics - Passion for building high-quality products that are robust and easy to maintain in
