About this role
Sr PM/Director of Product Management, Design Systems California - San Francisco; Washington - Bellevue Define the product strategy and roadmap for embedding AI capabilities within SLDS 2, ensuring design system architecture supports emerging generative AI use cases while maintaining backward compatibility and accessibility standards. Partner with designers, engineers, and AI product teams to evolve component specifications, metadata schemas, and ontologies that enable components to perform effectively in generative contexts. Serve as the trusted advisor and primary liaison for design systems across the organization - educating teams, driving adoption, and facilitating alignment between design system capabilities and AI initiatives. Define success metrics and track adoption of AI design system capabilities, balancing long-term vision with pragmatic execution. You're Our Person If... You have 5+ years of product management experience, including meaningful time working on design systems, component libraries, or frontend platforms. You bring a strong understanding of design systems principles and their application in enterprise software, including accessibility and component governance. You're a clear communicator who can translate complex technical concepts to design, engineering, and leadership audiences alike. You have working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and how they can enhance user experiences. Even Better If... You have familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System or similar enterprise-scale design systems. You've defined product requirements for designer- and developer-facing tooling. You have experience collaborating with global design and engineering teams across time zones.
