With more than a decade of experience in the engineering of cell lines. This is a dynamic and diverse role, reporting into the inventory & Logistics Manager and based onsite at Waterbeach, Cambridge. Daily duties include: Handling a variety of product types, storing and retrieving samples from temperature regulated locations ranging from 4°C to -196°C. Actively manage inventory and kanban locations throughout the site. Receive inbound shipments to ensure all internal specifications and regulatory requirements are met. Receiving and tracking of all inbound Human tissue Act (HTA) samples. Provide efficient and effective 'hands on' daily management of inventory for sale Apply familiar with cycle counts, ABC inventory, and FIFO/FEFO practices to ensure accurate and efficient operations. Managing the placement of purchase orders for stocked item and liaising with suppliers on delivery times. Collecting laboratory waste from labs and safely operating autoclaves to dispose of waste safely Accurately following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensuring completion of duties with minimal errors to support department metrics. Contributing to operational excellence and assisting in the further development of a Lean approach to process flows.
