Global Supply Chain Manager, Energy Storage San Francisco, California, United States About Redwood Materials Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling - keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we're delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Global Supply Chain Manager, Energy Storage The Global Supply Chain Manager will work closely with engineering, operations, and other functional teams to drive suppliers election, manage supplier agreements, and optimize procurement strategies. This role will optimize cost, quality, and availability of a range of components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods in support of Redwood's product offering. Responsibilities will Include: - Develop a sourcing strategy for a given set of components - Lead supplier selection activities - Collaborate with engineering in order to understand key requirement that must be conveyed to potential suppliers - Drive cost reduction and inventory management strategies that ensure availability of component while minimizing inventory carrying costs - Manage supplier performance, including quality, on time delivery, sustainability, etc. - Become the subject matter expert for the assigned list of components and technologies - Mitigate supply chain risks by working with cross functional teams in engineering, logistics, finance, quality etc. - Coordinate with cross-functional partners (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance) to support day to day operations Desired Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in engineering, operations, business, economic - 5-7 years of supply
